Safety features.
The i30 features an upgraded version of Hyundai SmartSense™[H2] – our cutting-edge suite of driver safety technologies. Each of those technologies has one thing in common: they’ve been developed to alert you to (and help you avoid) any dangers around you.
Driver Attention Warning (DAW)
UAt speeds of 64km/h and above, Driver Attention Warning (DAW) uses the windshield-mounted camera to continually monitor the i30’s position in a lane, while also tracking steering, brake pedal use, and time since your last break. When a pattern of fatigue or distraction is identified, the system gets your attention with an alert plus a pop-up message suggesting you take a rest stop.
Forward Collision Warning (FCW).
FCW utilises the front radar sensor and windshield-mounted camera to detect vehicles and pedestrians in front of the i30. If a potential collision is detected, the FCW system will sound an audible warning chime and display a visual warning in the supervision cluster.
Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
The TPMS displays the real-time PSI pressure for each individual tyre onto the instrument cluster, warning the driver of sudden pressure drops or deviations.

Drive mode select.
This allows you to choose from three driving modes – Normal, Eco and Sport – to best deliver on what your immediate driving need is. Sport mode increases steering weighting and engine response. Coupled with delayed up-shifting, Sport mode maximises the dynamic driving feel of your i30. Choose Normal mode for a driving experience optimised for typical day to day use, or Eco mode when fuel economy is your top priority.
7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT).
Available with the 1.6L diesel and 1.6L petrol turbo engines, the 7-speed computer-controlled DCT combines the fuel efficiency and acceleration of a manual transmission with the ease, simplicity and absence of a clutch pedal of an automatic.

If the vehicle has been used for private and domestic purposes and is not and has not been previously used for a commercial application, including but not limited to taxi, hire, rental, courier, security, driving school, tour, bus operator or emergency vehicle. Vehicles used at any time for “commercial application”, as defined in the vehicle warranty policy, are excluded. Passenger vehicles that are or have been used for a commercial application are provided with a 5 year/130,000km warranty (whichever occurs first). An iMax that is used or has been used for a commercial application is provided with a 5 year/160,000km warranty (whichever occurs first). An iLoad is provided with a 5 year/160,000km warranty (whichever occurs first) regardless of its usage. Roadside Support Plan
Included 12 months Roadside Support when you purchase a new Hyundai passenger vehicle (excluding rental buyers). Further Roadside Support extensions are available, each for 12 months from the date of a scheduled maintenance service at a participating authorised Hyundai dealer (unless vehicle is more than 108 months (9 years) from the original new car sale date, in which case entitlement to Roadside Support ends when vehicle reaches 120 months (10 years) from original new car sale date). Sat Nav Update Plan
Only applies to new vehicles with factory-fitted satellite navigation. Updates are delivered annually and are included if the vehicle completes a scheduled service at a participating Hyundai dealer. For i30 (PD), i30N (PDeN), IONIQ (AE), Elantra (AD), Veloster (JS), Kona (OS MY19+), Tucson (TL FL), Santa Fe (TM), Venue (QX) and Sonata (DN8). Models with factory-fitted satellite navigation, updates must be undertaken within 10 years of the vehicle’s initial purchase, maximum number of 9 updates. For all other Hyundai’s (excluding i45) updates must be undertaken within 6 years of the vehicle’s initial purchase, maximum number of 5 updates.
